I hear the Spirit of The Lord saying, "My church, you have rushed off into battles I have not called you to and have fought with weapons I did not give you! You have been zealous to restore glory, but it was not My glory you were seeking. I would ask of you, who is on The Lord's side? It is time to give up your agendas and let Me show you what is on My heart. When you surrender to Me I will show you My salvation and victory. I do not need the weapons or tactics of this world to win battles. I am looking for people of faith who are ready to step out and follow My commands. It's time to release a sound of pure, surrendered worship to Me; for worship is your warfare! I am waiting for those who would answer My call to battle. Will you follow Me?"
2 Samuel 10:12 Be strong, and let us show ourselves courageous for the sake of our people and for the cities of our God; and may The Lord do what is good in His sight.
2 Chronicles 20:17 You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of The Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for The Lord is with you.
2 Chronicles 20:20-22 ...'Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, put your trust in The Lord your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed.' When he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who sang to The Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went out before the army and said, 'Give thanks to The Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.' When they began singing and praising, The Lord set ambushes against... those who had come against Judah; so they were struck down.
Judges 6:12 And the Angel of The Lord appeared to him and said to him, "The Lord is with you, valiant warrior."
The Spirit of The Lord is saying, "Arise, valiant warriors! For too long you have hid in fear from the enemy. It is time to fight and set the captives free. I, The Lord, am with you and will bring you victory! Who is on My side?!"
Isaiah 43:18-19 Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new; now it will spring forth. Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.
I hear the Spirit of The Lord say, "Prepare for new roads! The time has come to stop aimlessly wandering the familiar paths and follow me into new territory. Are you ready? Do you trust Me to lead you to a good place? I love you too much to leave you on your own! I will guide you every step, but the road will look different than what you think it should. Do not look to the past. Behold, I will do something new!"
Jeremiah 1:11-12 Moreover, the word of The Lord came to me, saying, "Jeremiah what do you see?" And I said, "I see a branch or a shoot of an almond tree (the emblem of alertness and activity, blossoming in late winter)." Then said The Lord to me, "You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it."
I hear the Spirit of The Lord saying, "Do you have faith to believe that I will do what I have declared I would do? Does My word hold power in your life? I have never failed you or any of the generations that have gone before you. It is not in My nature to fail. I do not give up. I always complete what I have started. Surrender fully to Me and watch as I perform miracles on your behalf. Choose to believe what I have promised you and let your faith arise!
Hebrews 11:6 AMP But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must necessarily believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him out.
FAITH... a little word with such potential, such power. At some time or another we've all been told "have a little faith" as if it was as easy as just making a choice. We've all felt that irritation bubble up as we feel like people don't really understand what we're going through. It's not that easy, right? But maybe it is.
What is faith?
The Bible tells us that faith "is the assurance of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality." Hebrews 11:1
Webster's Dictionary defines faith as "complete confidence in a person or plan" or a "strong belief".
To put it simply, faith is believing or trusting in someone or something that goes beyond your understanding.
Having faith DOES NOT mean you will have all the answers.
Having faith DOES NOT mean everything will simply fall into place.
Having faith DOES NOT mean everything will be easy.
Having faith DOES mean that you are not alone! You no longer have to figure things out by yourself when you place your trust in God. You can trust in His sovereignty. Hebrews 13:5
Having faith DOES mean that you can have the peace of mind that God will work all things out for good, even when it doesn't make sense! You can trust the process God takes you through. Romans 8:28
Having faith DOES mean that the trials you face can have purpose and will help you grow! James 1: 3-4
Faith starts as a decision to trust God even when you can't full see or comprehend what is happening. And it grows as you continue to make that decision every day.
Faith doesn't mean you will never doubt or be afraid. Faith means you won't let that doubt or fear manipulate and control you.
So maybe faith is that easy; simply making one small choice at a time to trust in God even when you don't understand.
